MELLISSA, parent

Without wraparound, I don’t know where my son would be right now.

Probably DCS would have him, not because I’m a bad mom but because I didn’t know how to help my son.

The school kept calling, I kept talking to him, but nothing changed. It took everyone to really come together to surround my son and me with support and services before we both understood how to work together.

It was a lot of work, but I had to do it for my son, my other kids and myself.

We still have rough days, and nothing will ever be 100% perfect but even on our hardest days we know how to bounce back from them.

We do not allow ourselves to fall back to old habits or old thoughts and we help each other.
