Faith & Mental Health
In the midst of life’s challenges, faith communities can be a vital support system.
This quarter will focus on skill development, resource connection, and education to decrease stigma and increase mental well being of families and children of faith.
Faith-Based Responses to Difficult Child Experiences

Come hear from local faith leaders, parents and professionals as they share their insights and experiences with childhood traumatic experiences and learn together what steps our communities of faith can take to Realize, Recognize, and Respond to these experiences. Participants will learn the signs of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and intervention strategies designed to Resist Re-traumatization and make Referrals that best support faith community members.
Mental Health: A Guide for Faith Leaders
This 28-page guide gives faith leaders an overview of mental health and information on how faith leaders can help those experiencing mental health challenges.
Quick Reference on Mental Health for Faith Leaders
This 2-page quick reference summarizes signs of mental illness, how to communicate with someone experiencing it and steps to making a referral.
