INFANCY & EARLY CHILDHOOD

Early childhood mental health sets the stage for a child’s development. By addressing young children’s social-emotional development, we give them a better chance to form healthy relationships, manage their behavior and succeed in structured settings like child care or school.

The SOURCE’s infancy & early childhood mental health program, called Together We ROCK!, seeks to support the mental health of Elkhart County’s youngest children.

Learn about ROCK Team!

ROCK Team was born out of The SOURCE Early Childhood Committee’s work and began with a visit to Union City, New Jersey to learn about their pre-Kindergarten programs. It became clear that Elkhart County early childhood educators and childcare providers would benefit from access to an interdisciplinary team of early childhood experts who could learn about a specific child’s behavioral or emotional concerns and respond with concrete, targeted recommended interventions.

ROCK Team members include professionals from education, speech and language pathology, behavioral and mental health from organizations/districts across Elkhart County.
